Welcome to the Web page of Trinh Xuan Thuan, an astrophysicist and professor of Astronomy at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. Born in Vietnam and educated in French high schools, Thuan is the author of many popular books, written originally in French and later translated into English, on the Universe and the philosophical questions it raises. Beside teaching and doing research at the University Virginia, Thuan is a also a frequent visitor to French astrophysical institutions such as the Institute of Astrophysics in Paris You will discover on this site the latest news on his various activities, on his writings, his interviews, and his invited talks.
